Gardener

CHT Healthcare Trust takes great care of older people in hospitals and rest homes across Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. As a not-for-profit organisation we focus on our residents and their needs and reinvest all surpluses back into our facilities and resident care.

We need a gardener to work across our 12 locations in Auckland.

This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 0700-1530. Key tasks will involve mowing lawns, weeding, pruning plants, shrubs and trees, spraying moss and weeds, water blasting path ways and tidying the grounds as necessary.

A vehicle is provided for commuting and work use.

We are looking for someone with:

• A nationally recognised horticultural qualification or a minimum five years’ gardening experience.
• Knowledge of different plants and their required growing conditions and care.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Good work ethic.
• Physically fit.
• Working knowledge of smart phones and tablets.
• Efficient with administrative tasks
• Respect for elderly residents
• A New Zealand Citizen or Resident or hold a valid work visa
• Current drivers licence issued in New Zealand

We need Health Care Assistants to provide great care to our residents at our busy aged care hospital and rest home.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants who have the following:

A valid work visa or NZ residence

• 1 – 2 years experience in a hospital or residential aged care setting
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends – must be willing to do Sundays
• ACE (or similar caregiving) qualifications. Preference will be given to those with Level 2 Qualifications Careerforce Health & Wellbeing or ACE Core
• Remuneration – Starting at $19.00 to $20.00 per hour with a $4.00 an hour additional payment for weekends
• Empathy and respect for older people
